Bright Spot to the Dreaded Wednesdays

If there is ever a day I dread worse than Monday, it's Wednesday. It's middle of the week, boring, taunting me with the weekend. Today was no different, unless you count the dog smooshing his face in a random spot of laundry detergent (he's fine, he didn't actually ingest any of it, and I wiped and rinsed his face well. No harm done). Oh, wait, yes it was different. I woke up to snow. In March. In the South. FYI y'all, the high today here was 46, tomorrow its supposed to be like 63. Welcome to North Carolina.

3 weeks ago I started my spring cleaning (you know when it was warm and oh, I don't know, Spring-ish). I've been averaging about a room every 2 days or so. I FINALLY finished today, thank the Lord. It's so nice to be able to sit back, relax and only worry about basic cleaning and just keeping up with what I've done already. I do need to clean the windows, but I'm going to wait until the weekend so I can do both inside and out without having to worry about getting the kids to and from school.

Am I the only one that gets overwhelmed with clutter during the winter? I doubt it. Winter is just SO.DANG.DEPRESSING. for me. It's cold and gets dark too early, the kids can't really go outside much, can't open the windows to air the rooms, clutter starts accumulating. Ugh.

I finally had enough. I'm making it my life's mission to keep the junk out of here. I'm toying with different organization methods right now, which will be future posts as I discover what works and what doesn't. My house doesn't look like a magazine (hello, we ACTUALLY live here), but I think that I'll be able to bring you some decent ideas, and affordably as well. My funds are pretty limited at the moment, so I try to make cheaper storage ideas work well.

I'm also currently trying to settle on a blog schedule. My original idea was Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, then I remembered that Friday was errand day. So bigger posts will probably come on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Fridays will be reserved for quick updates, reviews, and what-not. Let me know what y'all want. I'm always open to ideas and suggestions!

Remember you can always like Southern Sass and Sweet Tea on Facebook and follow me on Pinterest.

Have a good one y'all! We're halfway to Friday!
