New Beginnings

It's been a few years since I began my blogging journey, and quite frankly, I've been sorely lacking. I've had several people express their interest in following me and the quirkiness that is my life if I were to (finally!) keep up with a blog, so here I am.

I've learned a lot over this journey, but most of all I've learned that eventually we all need change. Looking over my previous work, I KNOW I can do better! I'll always have a special place in my heart for what Domestic Mommies was, but the woman that started that blog is not the same woman writing this now; and I feel that my online presence should reflect that. Southern Sass and Sweet Tea gives me the space I need to grow and change. Bear with me as we take this journey together. I'm learning; and that's something I'll never stop doing.

So who am I?

I'm a Mama to 2 beautiful, silly, mostly-well-adjusted kiddos that are the light of my life. I'm a wife, happily married to her high-school sweetheart. Our family is completed by the most un-bulldog like Bulldog that can possibly be had. He is also more popular on IG (#GeneralPudgers) than I ever will be. Not even going to pretend that I'm not a little jealous.

I play hard, and love harder. I'm as sweet as I am sarcastic, and my words tend to reflect that. I'm a southern girl, finally finding her roots. I like clothes and cosmetics and much as fishing and fixing cars. I craft and create; sometimes it works, other times not so much. I'm not afraid of failure because I've been through hell and half of Georgia to get to where I am now.

I'm just me.
